What is the White Cane Program?
The White Cane Program is CereCare Philippines Foundation’s tribute to Doña Anita Tanco, a passionate advocate for the blind. Since 2010, the program has distributed hundreds of white canes to indigent visually impaired persons, empowering them with dignity and mobility. Each year, August is celebrated as “White Cane Month” in memory of Doña Anita.
Before the cane, I always had to rely on someone just to walk down the hallway at s chool. Now, I walk with confidence. Thank you, CereCare, for giving me freedom.
